Accessibility

Last updated: May 2026

Direct Works Group is committed to making its website accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of ability or technology. We aim to meet the recognised standards for web accessibility and to continually improve the experience for all users.

What we do

  • Use clear, plain language wherever possible;
  • Maintain strong colour contrast — our text and interactive elements are tested to meet or exceed the WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratio of 4.5:1;
  • Provide a visible keyboard-focus indicator and a "skip to main content" link for keyboard and screen-reader users;
  • Structure pages with proper headings and landmarks so they work with assistive technology;
  • Label buttons and provide descriptive text for meaningful images;
  • Use a responsive layout that reflows cleanly on mobile and tablet.

Aiming for WCAG

We work towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA standard as our benchmark. Accessibility is an ongoing process, and some areas may not yet fully meet this standard — we are committed to addressing issues as we find them.
